Gudauri is gearing up for winter.
Gudauri Ski Resort in Georgia is already preparing for the 2026/27 winter season, with a series of significant upgrades currently in the planning and implementation stages.
One of the main projects is the upgrade of the Snowpark area, where two new T-Bar lifts are planned, with a combined length of approximately 1.4 km, alongside the dismantling of the old Khada and Snowpark lifts. In addition, a 200-meter covered conveyor lift is planned, focusing mainly on children and beginner skiers.

But that is not all. Gudauri plans to also add the Tatra 3 and Kobi 3 trails, with a combined length of approximately 6 km, and significantly expand its snowmaking system. An additional approximately 7.5 km of trails are expected to receive snowmaking coverage, bringing the total length of trails with artificial snow to approximately 12.5 km.
Night-skiing enthusiasts will also benefit from an upgrade: lighting is planned for a trail in the New Gudauri area, which will make it possible to expand night-skiing activities at the resort.

The total investment in the projects is estimated at approximately 31 million Georgian lari, and the announced goal is to complete the work by December 15, 2026. The actual opening date of the trails will, of course, still depend on snow, weather conditions, and the completion of on-site inspections.
Gudauri in the 2026/27 season is expected to look somewhat different, with more trails, better facilities for beginners, and an improved ability to cope with the start of the season even when natural snowfall is delayed.
