1. Introduction

1.1. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain the owners’ practices regarding the privacy of Users of the system and how they use information provided by Users through the system or collected during use of the system.

1.2. Any use of masculine or feminine language in this Privacy Policy is for convenience only and refers equally to all genders.

1.3. Any reference to the singular also includes the plural, and vice versa.

1.4. This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of SnowBuzz’s general Terms of Use and should be read together with the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

2. Collection of Information — General

2.1. The application provides access to information and services relating to skiing, subject to the application’s Terms of Use and applicable law (the “Terms of Use”).

2.2. When you use the system’s services, the owners may receive information about you.

2.3. Some of the information may identify you personally, including:

Name.

Address.

Email address.

Products and services that you purchased or expressed interest in.

Transaction history.

Transaction confirmations.

Information relating to payment methods.

2.4. This is information that you knowingly provide when registering for services through the system or while using it to complete a transaction, as defined in the Terms of Use (a “Transaction”).

2.5. Some information may be used to identify patterns of your behaviour in the system for repeat-service offers, remarketing, legal monitoring, and statistical analysis. This information may include:

Advertisements displayed to you in the system.

Advertisements that you viewed or examined.

Pages that you viewed.

Pages from which you contacted the owners.

Services that interested you.

The Internet Protocol address from which you connected.

3. Information Required for Registration for Services

3.1. Personal details required when registering for the system or completing Transactions through it will be limited to the information directly necessary to provide the services, manage the account, and complete the Transactions.

4. Use of Information

4.1. The owners may use collected information for the following purposes:

Verifying your details.

Protecting your information and account.

Adapting the system to your personal preferences.

Personalising advertisements and Content displayed to you in the system.

Enabling use of the different services provided through the system.

Enabling Transactions through the system.

Verifying purchases and subscriptions.

Issuing accounting documents.

Improving the system and the services offered through it.

Providing technical support.

Preventing fraud, misuse, and breaches of the Terms of Use.

5. Use of Cookies by the Owners and Third Parties

5.1. The owners use technology that stores pieces of information relating to your use of the system, known as cookies, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and subject to applicable law.

5.2. The owners may allow other companies to operate advertising systems within the system in accordance with those companies’ policies.

5.3. Advertisements displayed while using the system may be delivered through the systems of those companies.

5.4. For the purpose of managing advertisements, those companies may place cookies on your device or in the browser that you use.

5.5. The cookies may allow those companies to collect information concerning advertisements displayed to you, advertisements that you viewed, and advertisements that you examined or clicked.

5.6. Those companies’ use of cookies is governed by their privacy policies and not by the owners’ Privacy Policy.

6. Electronic Direct Marketing

6.1. The owners may periodically send you the following by email or other means of communication:

Information concerning Transactions and services relevant to you.

Updates relating to your account.

Marketing information.

Advertising information.

Offers and benefits.

6.2. You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing and advertising information and stop receiving it at any time by using the opt-out options included in the message or by contacting the owners.

6.3. The owners will not disclose your personal information to advertisers or other third parties except in accordance with this Policy.

6.4. The owners may disclose statistical and aggregated information concerning User activity in the system, provided that the information does not personally identify you.

7. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

7.1. The owners may disclose information concerning a User to third parties that provide services required for operation of the system, including for:

Data storage.

Cloud services.

User authentication.

Delivery of notifications.

Analysis of usage data.

Advertising through cookies or device identifiers.

Technical support.

Verification of Transactions and purchases.

Fulfilling the other purposes described in this Policy.

7.2. The owners will not disclose your personal details or information collected concerning your activity in the system to other third parties except in the following circumstances:

Where a legal dispute between you and the owners requires disclosure of your details.

Where a competent authority of the State of Israel requests the information under its lawful authority.

Where you perform acts through the system that are contrary to law or there is a reasonable suspicion that such acts have been performed.

Where a court order or legal directive requires disclosure of your details or information concerning you to a third party.

To prevent serious harm to the body, property, or rights of the owners, Users, or third parties.

Where the owners sell, transfer, or assign operation of the system, in whole or in part, to another entity.

In the event of a merger with another entity or a merger of the system’s operations with those of a third party, provided that the receiving entity accepts this Privacy Policy or provisions providing a similar level of protection.

8. Use of Google Analytics

8.1. The system may use Google Analytics to collect information concerning use of the website, including:

Frequency of visits.

Pages viewed.

Time spent on the website.

Actions performed on the website.

The method by which the User reached the website.

8.2. The information is collected for the purpose of maintaining and improving the interface and services offered through the system.

8.3. SnowBuzz does not intentionally combine information collected through Google Analytics with information that directly identifies application Users personally.

8.4. Google’s ability to use and share information collected through Google Analytics is subject to Google’s terms of use and privacy policy, available at:

9. Information Security

9.1. The owners implement accepted and current information-security measures and procedures in the system, taking into account the nature of the information, the system’s activity, and applicable legal requirements.

9.2. These measures are intended to reduce the risks of unauthorised access, misuse, loss, disclosure, alteration, or deletion of information.

9.3. However, online systems cannot be completely immune from intrusions, malfunctions, and security incidents.

9.4. Accordingly, the owners do not guarantee that the services and information stored through them will be absolutely protected against unauthorised access, but undertake to use reasonable measures in accordance with applicable law.

10. Right to Access, Correct, or Delete Information

10.1. In accordance with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, every person is entitled to review information concerning them that is held in a database, subject to applicable law.

10.2. A person who reviews information concerning them and finds that it is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or outdated may request that the database owner correct or delete the information.

10.3. Such requests should be submitted using the contact details displayed at the bottom of this page.

10.4. The owners may request additional details to verify the identity of the person making the request before providing, correcting, or deleting the information.

10.5. If information held in the owners’ databases is used to contact you personally, you may request in writing, subject to applicable law, that information relating to you be deleted from the database used for direct marketing.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

11.1. The owners may update or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time.

11.2. Where material changes are made concerning the manner in which personal information provided by you is used, a notice will be published in the system or provided through another appropriate method.

11.3. The updated version of the Privacy Policy shall apply from the date of its publication, unless stated otherwise.

12. Location Information (GPS)

12.1. When you use the Ski Tracker feature, the application collects GPS location data and altitude data, including data received from a barometric sensor where one is available on the device.

12.2. The information is collected for:

Recording your skiing or snowboarding route.

Calculating distances.

Calculating speed.

Calculating altitude data.

Identifying skiing or snowboarding, lift, and rest segments.

Displaying your activity history.

12.3. Location collection may continue while the device screen is off or the application is running in the background, but only when you have activated the Ski Tracker feature and in accordance with the location permissions approved on your device.

12.4. Route data may be stored on your device and on the system’s servers and may be displayed to you in your activity history.

12.5. Through the Location Sharing feature on a Ski Partners group map, your precise real-time location may be transmitted to members of the specific group to which you belong.

12.6. Location sharing will begin only after you manually activate the “Share My Location” option.

12.7. Transmission will stop when you disable sharing, when the activity ends, or in accordance with the system’s expiration and security mechanisms.

13. Images and Documents You Upload

13.1. When using the application, you may upload images and Content, including:

A profile picture.

Images in chat.

Images in feeds.

Images in posts and comments.

Images in an Instructor gallery.

13.2. If you register as a ski Instructor, you may also voluntarily upload:

A professional qualification certificate.

Documents showing training and experience.

An identity-card image or another identification document.

13.3. These documents are intended solely to allow the management team to verify your identity and professional details and may be required for approval of an Instructor profile in the system.

13.4. You may not upload another person’s images, documents, or personal information without that person’s permission or another appropriate lawful basis.

14. Sign-In Through Social Networks and Identity Providers

14.1. You may sign in to the system through a Google, Apple, or Facebook account.

14.2. When you use such sign-in, the owners may receive information from the relevant provider that you authorised the provider to disclose, including:

Name.

Email address.

Technical account identifier.

Profile image, where provided by the provider.

14.3. The information will be used to create, identify, access, and secure your account.

14.4. Use of the sign-in service is also subject to the terms of use and privacy policy of the relevant provider.

15. Personalised Advertising and Device Identifiers

15.1. In addition to the use of cookies on the website, the application may use third-party advertising services, including Google AdMob and Meta/Facebook, to display advertisements within the application.

15.2. These services may use information including:

The device advertising identifier.

IDFA on Apple devices.

Advertising ID on Android devices.

IP address.

Application usage data.

Technical information concerning the device.

Interactions with advertisements.

15.3. This information may be used to personalise advertisements, limit how frequently they are displayed, prevent fraud, and measure their effectiveness.

15.4. On Apple devices, where required, you will be asked for express consent through the App Tracking Transparency mechanism.

15.5. You may refuse tracking or change your consent at any time through your device settings.

15.6. Meta/Facebook may also automatically record application usage events, known as App Events, in accordance with its service settings and privacy policy.

16. Analysis of Application Use

16.1. The application may use tools such as Google Analytics for Firebase to collect information concerning use of the application, including:

Screens viewed.

Actions performed.

Frequency of use.

Duration of use.

Technical events.

Application performance.

16.2. The information is collected to maintain and improve the application’s interface, services, features, and User experience.

16.3. The owners do not intentionally combine this analytical information with information that permits direct personal identification, except where required for security, technical support, fraud prevention, or provision of services to a User.

17. Push Notifications

17.1. To send notifications concerning updates, messages, comments, chats, bookings, skiing or snowboarding conditions, and other relevant alerts, the system may store a technical device identifier known as a Push Token.

17.2. This identifier is used to deliver the notification to the device and is not intended to serve as a payment method or identity document.

17.3. You may manage notification permissions through your device settings or through the application settings, where that option is available.

18. Error Reporting and Service Improvement

18.1. For diagnosing malfunctions, correcting errors, protecting the system, and improving the Service, the application may transmit technical information to the server, including:

Device model.

Device type.

Operating-system version.

Application version.

Time of the error event.

Error details.

Technical actions preceding the error.

The logged-in User’s identifier.

The User’s name, where required for handling the issue.

18.2. This information will be used only for technical support, security, error diagnosis, and Service improvement.

19. In-App Payments

19.1. In-app purchases and subscriptions are completed and processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play in accordance with their privacy policies and terms of use.

19.2. The system may retain information required to verify the purchase and provide the Service, including:

Transaction identifier.

Product or subscription identifier.

Purchase date.

Subscription validity period.

Purchase status.

Purchase token or other technical verification data.

19.3. The system does not receive or store your full credit-card details where payment is made through an application store.

20. Financial Information Between Users

20.1. The Expense Sharing feature in a Ski Partners group allows group members to record and track shared expenses that they enter.

20.2. This information may include:

Expense name.

Amount.

Currency.

Category.

Payment method.

Identity of the User who paid.

Users participating in the expense.

20.3. This information is entered and managed by the Users themselves for convenience only.

20.4. The feature does not constitute a financial service, payment service, clearing service, or actual transfer of funds through the system.

21. Retention of Information After Account Deletion

21.1. If your account is deleted, your identifying details will be deleted or de-identified in accordance with this Policy, the system’s capabilities, and applicable law.

21.2. However, Content that you previously published may remain stored in the system, including:

Chat messages.

Posts.

Comments.

Answers to questions.

Content sent to groups.

Information required to preserve activity or Transaction history.

21.3. Such Content may remain in a form that is no longer associated with your identity in order to preserve the integrity of discussions, Content, and other Users’ activities.

21.4. Certain information may also be retained after account deletion where required for compliance with a legal obligation, management of legal proceedings, fraud prevention, system security, or protection of the rights of the owners and Users.

22. Use by Minors

22.1. The Service is intended for Users who meet the minimum age set out in the Terms of Use.

22.2. A minor User must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the application and provide information in accordance with this Policy.

22.3. A parent or guardian who allows a minor to use the system should review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and supervise use according to the minor’s age and abilities.

23. Cloud Storage and Transfers Outside Israel

23.1. Information collected through the system may be stored, processed, and backed up through cloud-service providers and technology providers, including Google Firebase and Firestore.

23.2. The information may be stored on servers located in Israel or outside Israel.

23.3. Such transfer and storage will be carried out subject to the providers’ information-security commitments, the agreements with them, and applicable legal requirements.

24.1. The owners will endeavour to address appropriate requests concerning privacy, access to information, correction of information, deletion of information, or use of information as soon as reasonably possible.

24.2. Such requests should be submitted using the contact details displayed at the bottom of this page.
