Dead and injured: A tree has fallen on a car on the way to Bollerberg
A fatal accident occurred this morning on the road to the ski resort at Mount Buller in the state of Victoria, Australia, when suddenly a tree fell on a moving vehicle and injured the occupants.

According to a statement from the local police, the incident occurred around 9:15 AM. A woman was driving the vehicle, while her son sat next to her, on their way to the alpine ski resort when the tree fell and penetrated through the windshield of the vehicle.
The son, whose identity has not yet been officially released, died at the scene. The mother was taken to the hospital with injuries that were classified as minor to moderate and not life-threatening. According to local reports, she was taken to the hospital in the city of Wangaratta.
Rescue teams, including police and paramedics, arrived shortly after the emergency call at the scene. The road was closed in both directions due to the incident, and there are significant traffic jams in the area.
The circumstances are still under investigation, and the police are asking anyone who was in the area, took photos, or has relevant information to contact the authorities. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released until an official notification is made to the family.
The incident occurred in the middle of the snow season, under winter weather conditions and fog in the region.
